The Green Home Festival is the brainchild of the Construction Industry Collective Voice (CICV), a coalition of Scotland's leading construction trade and professional bodies. Representatives from its 29 organisations once again pooled their expertise and knowledge to deliver the event as part of the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Running from 12-16 August, the third Green Home Festival featured a variety of shows, which were all free to attend. All shows were in-person and took place in a marquee in Charlotte Square Gardens, Edinburgh. The climate emergency, net zero and soaring energy prices are the driving factors behind the Green Home Festival. Our aim is to engage the public and businesses in the global challenge, offering demonstrations and hands-on guidance to help everyone reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient. With the ongoing cooperation of the Scottish construction sector, the CICV has now made the festival an annual event that will help build a long-term legacy and demonstrate our commitment to greener and cheaper low-carbon solutions.
